Generally I'm very satisfied with ubuntu's interaction with the ps3 controller. No drivers to set up, and it generally works pretty well.
After looking around for a gameboy advance emulator, though, ugh. Whenever I try to reconfigure mednafen or visualboy advance to use the ps3 controller, there's usually a set of screens which say "press up", then when a key is pressed, another screen appears for each key until all are mapped. The problem is that these emulators act like I'm holding down a key the entire time, none of the screens appear for more than a split second. I have to uplug the ps3 controller to even see what they say.
The problem is probably because of the analog sticks, wich don't seem like they'd ever be resting in a perfect 0,0 position... is there any way to get ubuntu to ignore analog input from the controller?
