Tried to load live cd but stalls at boot:
Tried several disks but no change.
P4 1024RAM .
Any ideas?

Is your BIOS set to boot from CD? Is the ISO a good image? You can check the integrity of the image, but you might just want to download another. Don't waste CD's on a bad image.
