Say your trying to create a poll, you have to actually post the new thread first, and then start constructing the poll?

So if your constructing a fairly large poll during a busy peried, your post actually makes no sense for a few mins while your constructing your poll, because the poll gets added later?

Is there anyway to set the poll and new thread all together, rather than one at a time?

Don't know anything about this, but what's the problem?
Just write your post in gedit or something, then paste it into your browser.

That will take 30 seconds.

The issue isn't how long the post takes to compose--the issue is how long the poll takes to compose.

Step 1: Create post (no one sees this until you press Submit Thread button)

Step 2: Create poll. While you're creating the poll options, everyone sees a thread that refers to a poll that doesn't exist.

I've had people respond to my poll initial post before I've finished making the poll. It's odd.

I think this is a vBulliten thing, would be nice to get fixed but way to much of a hack for us to do.

But I could be wrong.

You could just make the body of the post:

"Poll coming"

Then add the poll, then edit the post to say what you wanted it to say...

~Polly That's a good workaround. The problem still persists, but I think I may do that from now on.

How responsive are the owners of vBuletin to something like this?

If this were free-libre software, you would fix it and submit the patch. You may have to work a little in getting the patch integrated upstream, but by and large, if it makes sense (like this) you have no problems.

You have to buy the vBuletin code before you can address the problem yourself? Can you file a feature request?
