Does anyone use the Fireclam plugin for Firefox? How do you know if it's working?

Why u need that? Theres no virus's on *nix system, so chill ;)

Developer Comments

Please note (Linux/MacOS): Use of Fireclam with clamdscan (in combination with clamd) is currently not recommended.
- I haven't tested it yet
- Fireclam might not understand clamdscan's return values properly
- clamd might not have the necessary permission to access downloaded files
Please use clamscan instead.


Even if it worked it would only detect windows viruses.

Hi,

I did not know of Fireclam before reading this thread, but I have used the ┤buntu Firefox add-on ĘDr.Web anti-virus link checkerĘ which can scan (from right-click menu) prior to downloading (just in case that may be of interest).
