My printer HP Deskjet 845c does not print well. It prints strange symbols -machine language (?, I don't know what is its name in English)-. I have installed Ubuntu 8.10 in GNOME since 1 week, because I had the original CD installation and Fedora 12 had given problems to me. I have tried configuring it (in the menu System, Administration, Impression) for all ports (USB, serie, parallel...) and it prints those strange symbols. The printer is fitted out (I don't know its name in English), predetermined and shared and it prints those strange symbols. I have tried to change the computer input (another USB) and then it dosen't print. What can I do?
