I read somewhere, long ago, that mythTV / mythbuntu has trouble with SATA hdds. Unfortunately, I can not remember where I read this. Is it true or not?

Not true. SATA tends to be superior in every repect.

Hi,

Not true, I have 5 (4 Tb drives and a 1Tb drive) in my backend server and I'm not seeing any problems.

A long time ago (in the terms of the linux kernel) there where problems with NCQ on some drives (Mainly broken firmware on the drives themself) but that is no longer true.
