Hi,
After searching for quite some time on my own, I give up:
Can anyone recommend a hybrid DVB-T and analog TV USB stick that works with ubuntu and supports HDTV?
Thanks.

I take you are in the States, here in the UK I am using AverTV Digi Volar EX A815,
on Jaunty it works straight out of the box and is HDTV Ready.

Hope this helps.

Hi jimmers. Thanks for that. I am actually in Australia at the moment but DVB-T is the standard for terrestrial TV both in Europe and Australia. In the states they have a different system.

The AverTV stick does not seem to support analog reception, does it?

Hey Jimmers..
I am using the exact same usb stick with Jaunty and can't get it working at all?
I clicked system ---> admin-->hardware drivers but it found nothing?

What exactly did you do? Just plug it in ?
Which program are you using with it?tvtime?
Does the remote work too?

I finally bought the Volar HX and it works after installing the drivers provided on Aver's website.

Only channel switching with Me-Tv is awfully slow.
