I like to play sudoku. I know it's somewhere in the repositories.
Where must I look and how can I retrieve it and install.

I'm an Ubuntu newbie

Thanks

Open up Synaptic and do a search for sudoku. If one is in there, this will find it.

I didn't found (k)sudoku in the breezy repositories.
But there is a ksudoku in a Debian repository somewhere. I'm sure about that.

But can we retrieve packages from Debian repositories? And howto?
And how find that repository?

I don't know if ksudoku is in the breezy repos. It is in the dapper universe repo, so it will be easy to get in dapper. You could also look into it being backported to breezy. That might pose a porblem though because it seems to depend on a library from kde 3.5 which is not (at least I think) the default for breezy. I use gnoem so I'm a little unsure of kde things. I use gnome-sukodu, which is a nice little program and in the repos. Obviously it is gtk so if you don't like gnome apps in kde, it may not be the best for you.

Oh, I forgot to ask. Have you enabled universe/multiverse repos (http://help.ubuntu.com/starterguide/C/ch02.html#addinguniverse)?

Thanks for saying that I have to enable those download sources.
I find gnome-sudoku.
It is displayed in a way different from that I was used to in Suse on my other pc.
But I can play it.

My first day with Ubuntu with those extra download sources was a happy day.

That's what I was trying to say. Gnome-sudoku is made for gnome, so it will look out of place in KDE.
