View Full Version : [ubuntu_studio] Downloading Ubuntu Studio Packages.

Well right now, im downlaoding Ubuntu Studio packages from the Synaptic Package Manager. Really, the only reason im downloading it is for Music Making Reasons =P (Yeah, i make music. (http://www.reverbnation.com/djmudkip)) Also, i heard from some people that UbuntuStudio is the best Multimedia pack "i have ever used." Any thoughts about Ubuntu Studio? P.S: I'll reply when Ubuntu Studio is done Downloading. 6min23s at 304 kB/s. :popcorn:

Just got done downloading...and it is installing. ****, this is longer than a PS3 trying to update Firmware 3.15

Well, it is quite a large amount of software. The multimedia production forum is where you should go for questions and answers about ubuntustudio. There are also some wiki pages and a bunch of how-tos scattered around the interweb. You should find them and read them first before doing anything, especially anything about setting up jack which is absolutely critical to having a good experience.
