New to ubuntu, and wanted to give a very big thank you to all the posters out there. Most of my problems have already been addressed in one form or another.
I know this probably isnt the right place for this but i wanted to make sure all those who help us newbs gets the message. its been very informative trying to fix things like this. I still have a windows machine i have to get someone to work on when it acts up to much. ( still have a printer that would be a brick and a wife who likes her windows)
Just got done switching UNR desktop over to gnome and making the desktop "clickable". It might not seem much to some of you but im rather proud of myself right now. So

Every little thing can be a big deal when you are new. I remember those same experiences. Congrats and good luck, stick with ubuntu and you will go far. :)

These forums have been a godsend for year. As far as the Open Source Community goes these are by far the best forums out there.
