A few weeks ago I wiped mythbuntu 9.04 off my htpc. I was unable to get mythbuntu 9.10 to properly install so I installed ubuntu-server 9.10, removed ubuntu-desktop and installed mythbuntu-desktop. Since then I have been getting pixelated video playback of dvds that have been ripped to .ogv with thoggen. (Thoggen 0.7.1 running on ubuntu-server 8.04 lts).
I can play the same files on my laptop (running kubuntu 9.10) without any problems. I can play dvds directly on the mythbuntu machine without any problems.
The mythbuntu machine has a nvidia GeForce 9400 GT video card and I am running the nvidia binary driver (version 185.18.36).
Any thoughts on what might be causing the problem, or any ideas on trouble shooting would be greatly appreciated.
