Got this old pc with a minimal install and a wopping 380mb,goes like a rocket.Exept for one thing.Flash is a bit jerky.This thing has an old nvidia vanta graphic card.Does anyone know where I could find a driver for it?They seem to be available,but for windows.Up until now no luck finding one for linux.

If memory serves the Vantas only went to 32 MB, might I suggest something a little more peppy? I know it's a labor of love but 16 or 32 MB just might not cut it. Anyway here:

I would imagine that one of the older nVidea 128s or 256s would do nicely. I wrote a new editing tool that might help your compusaurus. Check it out.

Sorry, I didn't read your last post carefully enough and I didn't elaborate enough in mine. It looks like you didn't give
$ sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-71.86.11-pkg1.run a place to go.

/desktop and such

Ok,I'll check it out.What I do know.Installed the restricted (as is recommended) and flash wouldn't play at all.
Could well be this card is dying.This is what I ment with terminal behaviour.

Forgot about that part of your PM, sorry. If the Extra desktop effects aren't enabled, setting Terminal background to transparent will do that on slower video cards. My wife's AMD desktop does that as well as my 9.10 install on my laptop. I just dualed my laptop with 9.10 NBR and that tries to display it properly but fails. It's perfectly normal. Nice theme by the way. Keewll sinister laugh too.
