I wist to have a list of my favourite programs directly on the Applications menu (or any other menu) and not under one of the sub menu categories. Is the a way to do this?
Thanks

That does not allow me to add applications directly on the Applications menu. They have to be in a sub menu.

Maybe it is possible with a different version. I'm using Karmic.

So I'm hoping someone can help me or tell me that it is not possible for sure.

I can do it on 9.10. When you edit the menus make sure Applications is highlighted and click New Item and fill in the rest. Most of your apps or commands will be in /usr/bin/

Thanks. Yes it works fine with me. I don't know how I couldn't get it to work before. A brainal error probably!
