I am considering installing Ubuntu Studio on a reserved partition. I presently am dual loading with Windows XP and Ubuntu 9.04. I have an empty third partition ready to be used. I need to know that if I install the Ubuntu Studio, the GRUB will still list the other partitions as choices to load.

Yes sir!

Linux always respect all your partitions, you should be able to see those once you are done. Just be careful and do not delete or overwrite those that you are currently using.

It could be different if you install XP after you setup Linux, because Windows overwrite MBR information.

Now, off topic and my 2 cents. Install Ubuntu Studio Karmic, most recent. I was having some weird issues with wireless card and the setup itself, using Ubuntu Studio Jaunty edition. I've also read that Ubuntu Studio Karmic has a more stable rt kernel. But that's up to you and depends of your hardware.

Thanks for the advice.
Sorry for the late reply. I was out-of-town.
