trying to dual boot w/ dynebolic from hd0,0

i don't have a partition

i copied the cd to my root directory

i copied the 4 lines of code to grub/menu.lst

it's set to hd0,0

do i need a partition?

do i need more than 4 lines of code (above ###debian automagic)

i've read the manual entry and searched around a lot on google

any help appreciated!

so I figurw booting dyneboliced out you have to copy the cd to the folder above the "root" folder not the one named"root"

now booting dynebolic only since my ubuntu boot sequence is overwritten.

now to figure out how to dual boot.

i'm liking dynebolic because it comes bundled pretty well and pre-configured somewhat.
