Hey guys, i have ubuntu 9.10 and i want to install windows in a virtual machine, which virtual machine do you recomend to install

Virtualbox is good, and a lot less hassle to get than VMWare.

Make sure you get the .deb version from the Virtualbox site if you want stuff like USB support (which isn't available in the open source edition we've got in the Ubuntu repos)

Hi Willye,

A second vote for VirtualBox although I use the OSE version as I have no need for usb with the guest machine...

Virtualbox.

And rather than downloading the .deb, add the sun repository to your sources.list - all described at http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads

I have to third that! Virtual Box all the way.

Been using it for over a year now and no real problems to speak of.

Go on then I'll "fourth" Virtualbox :)

If you want USB support install from the Sun repo and then install Guest Additions.
