Hi,

Can anybody recommend a jigsaw puzzle for Ubuntu? I have tried xjig but it's incredibly awkward - I have to chase the pieces on the screen and they rotate at a speed makes it very difficult to match them. Any other jigsaw puzzles?

I have searched high and low for the same thing. I did finally manage to get Puzzle Master 5 to work with Wine (it was kind of slow, but it did work) unfortunately after the latest wine update, the program starts then just pukes. I'll play with some more later on tonight and see if I have any luck.

There was a guy who had picked up the xjig code and was going to update it and use GTK2, but it's been months since he updated his code. If I could program at all, I would help out with it.

Yes, I am not a programmer either, otherwise I could have rewritten it. :( Let's hope that someday there will be a nice puzzle game for Linux and until then I think I will boot windoze at least occasionally.

Try GLPuzzle (which is in the link I gave you before). It needs work but it's alright:

Hi,

1-x for the link. I have checked it, there were some other puzzles as well. Now I'll start looking for the libraries that are necessary for glpuzzle. The problem is that I have installed Ubuntu on my laptop and I have Internet only on my desk top, so I cannot get the packages automatically but I think I will handle it. :)

I also search a good jigsaw puzzle game for ubuntu, but it still hard to find something complete and easy to use.
It's a popular game, I don't understand that we can't find more title.

I read the man of xjig, but I still can't change the setup or the image. :guitar:
