I can get all the utube videos other website videos , but no BBC videos using U 9.10 and Opera 10.10. They work with FF or Using Opera in Fedora it works fine. I have all the
usual Gstreamers, restricted extras/flash player etc.

I read just about every post I can but see nothing I do not already have.

Maybe its time for Zorin! lol or Zorro!

apt-get --purge remove <package>

and you can also do this with synaptic

Yes did all that to no avail, I get a white square where the video is supposed to be.

I guess it is no big deal but I like to keep things working, and when they do not//fix it!

It is not working on my wife's Ubuntu 9.10 either. We run two Ubuntus and one Fedora.

So I must be missing a plugin or gstreamer of some kind. Opera plays all the other videos, just not BBC.

I completely removed it in Synaptic, the same problem just a white square with the audio. So I removed it with apt-get --purge remove opera

Same thing just a white square with no audio. Note when I re-installed opera 10.10

all my bookmarks and speed dial settings were still there. BBC works fine in Fedora, but we use also two computers with Ubuntu 9.10 and they both
have the same problem. All other video sites like u tube work fine or say a Fox news
video. They all work fine in FF but my preferred browser is Opera. I want to fix this. Any ideas?

I just think 9.10 has bugs/ gave up on this topic installed Mint/ every thing works/ just like Fedora.
