Hi, @ my work place we've got Wi-Fi with a proxy server in between. I entered proxy in System>Preference>Netowrk proxy
Now I'm able to surf net but Not able to download updates or softwares from Synaptic Package manager..
I went into its settings changed proxy settings over there..
kept port to 8080 & entered authentication but It still dosn't work..
Hope some1 would help me out,,
