Hi all,

I have recently bought an acer revo, on to which i have installed ubuntu full 32 bit and boxee. Everything is working great except one thing.

I have some folders shared on the revo ubuntu machine, however I cannot always access the folders or the machine from a windows machine on my network. The issue is strange because sometimes the ubuntu machine just pops up in 'Network' on the windows 7 machine and all works fine, but sometimes it doesnt show up at all, and even typing the computers name doesnt work either (ie \\name-pc).

im fairly new to ubuntu so any advice or things to try that people might have would be greatly appreiated.

thanks in advance!
