hey, i'm new to ubuntu (used slackware/debian/freebsd in the past) and completely new to gaming in linux. i got nexuiz installed, which is a relief. however, i have all the files from the Unreal Tournament GOTY cd, just, i don't have the official cd. is it possible to install with just the files? or could i make a cd with just the files, and would the installer see it as the install disc? or, could i make an image of the files and mount it as if it were a real cd and do that?
thanks

I'd try making & then mounting the image first, if that doesn't work, burn it!

Error messages will give you clues as you go!

Let us know if you succeed?

Good luck! :)

so, where should i mount the image to so that the installer sees it?

Just burn it & see how you go, disks are cheap, & you will have a backup!
