install postgis

can anybody please tell me how to install postgis in ubuntu ... i have tried everything but nothing works ...

Found these i386 packages (http://www.orcaware.com/packages/ubuntu/breezy/postgresql-postgis-8.1/). I don't know anything about them or the authors.
