View Full Version : [kubuntu] No sound in Firefox

Hey, I just installed Kubuntu 9.10 and all the system sounds and such work, but I am unable to get sound through firefox. I installed VLC player and VLC plugin for Firefox, but still no luck. Any help?

Bump, and it seems moreso with youtube videos and such.

Bump, again. Amarok works, but not neverball music, or sounds from firefox. I tried pulseaudio, and still nothing.

Yea i have the same issue, gnome it will work ok but firefox under kde on kubuntu (32 or 64 bit) wont go. i got it working in suse but really dont like suse. can anyone help???

I had sound 40 mins ago, but now it's gone. Firefox 3.0.17 Ubuntu 8.10.
How bizzarre!! And annoying.
It's only in FF as well. All else has sound no probs. Reporting fault to Mozilla.

I just re-installed FF using Synaptic and the sound is fine now.
