Interesting! The song she's singing, River, is a Joni Mitchell song. Joni Mitchell has been a favourite of mine for much longer than I care to admit. I think Sarah is deliberately singing this one in a similar way to Joni.

Not sure, now she normally does sing very similar to this. So it may just be that the song matched her singing style.
