hi all.
I try to play 'The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind' on my Ubuntu PC via Cedega.
detail:
IBM Thinkpad R40, Centrino 1,4GHz, 512MByte, ATI Radeon 7500 Mobility
Cedega 4.1.1 i386
Ubuntu Warty
Morrowind with all expansions and patches.
Morrowind ran very good on the same machine using Windows 2000 but under Ubuntu/Cedega it is unplayable slow. even with graphics settings set to an ugly minimum I cannot play this anymore. sad, because it still seems stable, sound plays, installation was easy and all - but who cares if you cannot play...
other RPGs I play regularly like Neverwinter NIghts, Diablo 2, Icewind Dale 2 or Divine Divinity run fine and fast.
is there any chance that performance will increase significantly with Hoary (better ATI drivers) or Cedega 4.2?
does anybody know some 'secret trick' to optimize for this game?
thanks and regards,
Carsten
