Installing ATI Radeon 9200 Drivers

I have an ATI Radeon 9200 GFX Card, and i tried to install the drivers through synaptic. But even still opengl-esque stuff still doesnt work right, and neither do games! can someone help me? is there something else i need to install?

i have that exact card and opengl works for me

did u reconfigure the x-server to use the fglrx (ATI) drivers?

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
