installing Kdenlive

Hello friends

I would like to install Kdenlive and the recommended version is 0.7.6.The version that came with Ubuntu 9.10 is 0.7.5 which i havent installed yet.To install the newest version
do i install the old version and then update it or do i remove it from Synaptic Package
Manager first and then install the new version?Thanks for your help

Enter these commands in a terminal


sudo add-apt-repository ppa:sunab/ppa



sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install kdenlive
