I tried to upgrade my desktop. (I have Karmic.) Now I get the list of headers in Grub, but nothing will mount. I get this error message:

usplash: setting mode 115X864 failed
usplash: using mode 1024X768
chroot: cannot execute /etc/apparmor/initramfs: no such file or directory
General error mounting file systems.
A maintenance shell will now be started
CONTROL-D will terminate this shell and re-try
root@lesterness@desktop:~#

Do I need to completely re-install?

Thanks.
