^^^ not all vinyl is old!!!

I have hundreds. Ok, the vast majority are older than I am. But technically speaking, not all of them.

Popular club music is often cut (or whatever the heck they do to them) for DJing, even today.

What sort of music? You should have no problem finding tons of dance music on vinyl.

Whats the difference between a turntable and a record player? Just 2 different name of same thing.

from what i understand, a record player has built in speakers...so it's kind of like a self-containing system. on the other hand, a turntable is JUST the table that spins the record and the arm. with a turntable, you need external speakers and an amplifier.

im looking for some newer indie stuff, some 90s punk and hardcore...just kinda looking for anything really except for classic rock or 80s stuff lol i would love to find some 60s jazz stuff also

A lot of indie record labels still sell and produce vinyl records so try checking out their sites. You can find a lot of punk and hardcore stuff online or in magazines (pick up a copy of maximum rock n roll if a bookstore sells it near you.) OR if you're lucky like me and have a record shop near you go in and check that out.

Hope you find some really cool gems and jams.

Check thrift stores, flea markets, garage sales, etc. Maybe your local library still lends records too.

Yes, thrift stores can be excellent for that! I found quite a lot of cheap, used records at one recently (sadly, I didn't have much money on me at the time).
