Resistance Force - Coming out 2010 ?

Hey there, I stumbled upon this game through www.happypenguin.org and I found it rather astonishing that no one has talked about it?

Or at least I can't find anyone talking about it...

It looks to be a game like Counter Strike.
They have an Alpha out for download and I gave it a shot.
Besides the odd background image...It looks cool!
The server is always empty though when I go in so I haven't had a chance to test it out.
If this game has a storyline or singleplayer coming up for it, this might beat Urban Terror! Seriously, an FPS with a storyline for Linux would be a nice change.

From their about page, it looks like a Beta could be expected in a couple of months.
I just thought I should mention it here in case no one knows about it. No harm in spreading the word.
I also hope people will start testing it and playing online so I can have someone to play with :)

Considering pre-ordering the game, just waiting for my card so that I can do so. Anyone think it might be fully released in 2010?

I've also tried this game, but as the servers were always empty I never managed to actually play the game.
It's a shame that they don't have bots to test the gameplay.

I agree that no bots is a shame.
Maybe they thought it would get a lot of attention?
This game looks like it has potential, I really hope it gets done and bought by Linux users :)

Well, people, don't hesitate and download the Alpha now!
At least give it a go?

I'd like to see them make more games for Linux if this one is successful.
I guess we will just have to wait and see.

PS: Even though its only like 5-10 seconds of gameplay, the shooting is pretty sweet.
It feels like Call Of Duty 4 gameplay, especially when zooming with the pistol. Playing with the Engine is also pretty cool but not sufficient.

Anyhow, you can download the Alpha FOR FREE at their site so yeah, should be no problems there :)
