Can't get 1024x786 on iMac G3

It works fine, though I can't get 1024x786. xrandr doesn't even show the resolution.

Well I feel silly, I mean't to type 1024x768 rather than 1024x786. Now when I have it at 1024x768 I scroll around the screen like the monitor is still at 800x600.
