Hello,

I'm fairly new to Ubuntu (was windows XP user) and trying to learn lots.

I've overcome a load of things (getting my printer to work, installing Nvidia driver, accessing my windows-drives etc.) and i've been able to finally install Wine.

Have one problem though: i play a game called Star trek voyage elite force, it's a multiplayergame like Quake3.

It playes fairly well under wine now. The problem i'm having is that Wine plays the game in a window! This isn't playing well for me  .

Does anyone know what i have to do to get the game full-screen?

I tried winecfg, emulating a virutal desktop but that only increases the size of the window, not making it full-screen. Also when i do this things 'fall off' of the screen (non-visible).

If anyone could help me out i would be so gratefull!

Have you experimented with different screen resolutions? From Menu: System / Preferences /Screen Resolution

You never know? :)

Have you tried not using the virtual desktop option in wine?

Hi Abowman and Handy,

Yes i have, altered them both but no such luck :???:

I'm very eager to make this game work under ubuntu as it's the only reason
i'm still using win xp :-D

Hopefully i'll get the sollutions in the near future!

Thx for replying
