Mini speakers

I am looking into buying a pair of mini speakers. Specifically:

LaCie Firewire - says they will work on a PC and an installation CD for windows is included. Nothing about Linux

Chill Pill - says they will work on a PC

Anyone know if there would be a problem running either under Ubuntu - Karmic?
