Hi,

I installed Eboard 0.9.5 in the Breezy Badger 5.10 Linux distro and have been having problems with sounds and exiting, saving games played on the server etc. Does anyone have any clue as to how to fix Eboard that I downloaded from the Breezy Badger repository. I am an almost complete newbee as far as Linux is concerned. I did a lot of compiling some five years ago and have forgotten all I knew by now.

Another problem for me is that I don't seem to be able to log in as root because my password is not recognized and I can't change permissions outside my home directory.

Naive questions, sorry for that. I would be very grateful if someone could help :-)

I also am having trouble setting up Eboard. I normally use it with Crafty. For playing on the ICS the Jin chess client is perfect. It is free from ICS and has good, relaxing art work, colors, etc. If you learn anything about eboard on Ubuntu please respond to jimbsadler@yahoo.com
