As i wish to use awn i nead composeting but when i enable any form of compositing ,whether it is in kwin, metacity or compiz my plasma panel gets transparant, and i do not want transparancy on it at all.
So whats the way to go to accomplich use of awn and having no transparancy on plasma panels?

I use Compiz "Blur Windows" plugin. The effect is really nice and the panels background are not distracting.

Uhm how does that help getting rid of the transparancy of the plasma panels?
As soon as compositing is enabled the plasma-penls gets the ugly transparancy that i dont want.
a scematic form of the problm:
Goal: Non transparant plasma panel and awn docker running
Requirements:Awn depns on having compositing enabled
Problem: panel transparancy - An effect of having compositing enabled
Sollution= somthing that maks me be able to run awn and not having my plasma panel transparant.

I know what you want, but I don't know how to do that. What I do is to use "Blur Windows" to make the panels blurry. They are still transparent, but the background doesn't distract your view from the contents of the panels and widgets. It looks pretty good. Anyway, is up to you if you are going to try it or not.
