View Full Version : [ubuntu] can restricted extras be upgraded form another 9.04 cd

i installed 9.10.. since my internet con i slow i don wanna download the restricted extras one more time.. instead i have it in my 8.10 extras dvd.. can i be able to add those to my new installation..

i still hav an iso image of super os 9.04 in my sys.. how to add install those without downloading.. ???

Taking an educated guess, I'd say no, you can't use 8.10 packages in 9.10, cause they are too far apart and you'll most likely run into incompatibility issues.

is there any way i could install all the restricted ones all at the same time... or should i have to install them seperately.... :confused:

Not quite sure I understand. You can install packages separately or all together, it doesn't matter.

Ubuntu repositories is a rather safe bet.
