Hi there,
I have a problem which already got me misleaded. After rebooting my system (I didn't previously do anything strange on it, like installing something new), the system shows the users login screen, but after typing my password and enters gnome desktop, it shows the generic sand-coloured wallpaper (not mine), and then shows nothing else. The mouse works, but that's all... The same happens to all PC users (up to 4 more).
Could anybody help me at least to start testing anything? I would not like to miss all my customization work (Compiz, Screenlets, Cairo-Dock, Wallpaper, Squid+Dansguardian... and same for all users!!).
I have Ubuntu 8.10 with nVidia GeForce 6800GT (I have erased xorg.conf and also .xsession-errors shows no error... I think it is not from Xserver).
Cheers.
