I just bought a WD 250gb internal 2.5 drive with an enclosure for portable storage
I also have a hp tc4400 that has drive with bad sectors, so i figured i might as well try the new drive in it to see if it works. Turns out the drive fits just fine. It also mounts in the live environment and it let ubuntu install to it.
however when I try to boot up i get the grub screen, the I have to select an entry (no timeout for some reason) and when I do an error comes up that read along these lines
could not recognize drive *long alphanumeric drive id*
can not boot
press any key to try again
Are only certain drives compatible with the hp tc4400 or should i try installing again?
