Hi,
I would like to change the text that appears on the panel for the ubuntu main menu. You know, the words 'Applications | Places | System'. I know that there is another menu with just an icon available by default, but I like having separate drop down menu's for apps / files / system - but the text just takes up too much room. I would like to change it to say something like 'app | fm | cfg' or just icons but I'm guessing that would be harder.
Also, I tried the fix listed in this post but followed all the steps and got no change

There's got to be a file where this date is stored right? Anyone know where to edit it? Or an alternate solution?
Thanks for reading!
