ubuntu and Canon PIXMA MP540

Hello everyone

Does anyone have any experience with this printer, Canon PIXMA MP540.

I have successfully converted my girlfriend from Windows to Ubuntu and she is very happy. I want to buy her a printer for Christmas and this printer has been recommended to me.

I don't however want to buy her a printer that does not "play well" with Ubuntu.

Any advice, comments or support is gratefully appreciated.
