FreeDoom crashes?

Anybody have any clue as to why FreeDoom crashes on my machine? I've tried downloading FreeDM to go along with it, but it too crashes after about 15 seconds of playing. Could it be because of my computer's specs? (Dell OptiPlex GX260, 2.4 GHz Pentium 4, 512 MB RAM, Nvidia Vanta w/ NV driver, I can't find out how to get the legacy drivers up and running...)

Hi,

Do you have Compiz enabled? I have to switch to the Meta city manager when I want to play a game. Otherwise the game will crash on me. I simply added the Compiz Fusion Icon to my toolbar to make it quick and easy to switch.
