Hi All,

I am a completely new user for Ubuntu and was wondering if there are any apps out there somewhere to have a screen saver with the time on the screen?

Thanks in advance for your help.

There'a an xscreensaver called GLText that will do this - in fact it displays day, time, and date by default.

You can access the config app for xscreensaver by typing xscreensaver-demo in a terminal window.

Thanks that worked out well. I now have 2 screensaver lists on my menu. What do I do with the other one?

I have installed xscreensaver and it works fine. However when I reboot my pc the screensaver reverts back to the one installed with Ubuntu. Is there a way to have the xscreensaver as the default after a reboot?
