Ctrl-C, Ctrl-X, Ctrl-V intermittent

I am running Kubuntu 9.10 x64 on a Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop.

Prior to the release of 9.10, I ran Ubuntu 9.04 x64 using Gnome. The usual Ctrl-C, Ctrl-X, and Ctrl-V worked perfectly in Eclipse.

Now that I have switched, most of the time, Ctrl-C does NOT work. I have to press it multiple times to get it to copy. Similarly for Ctrl-X to cut.

It it KDE? Do I need to change the "keyboard and mouse" setting and remove these keys from the Standard Settings?

The plot thickens...

I switched to Gnome this morning, and so far, no problems with the control keys.

I read your first post and realised that I've been experiencing the same problem... Admittedly it isn't catastrophic (I haven't complained so far), but it is slightly annoying...
The catch: I'm using Jaunty... with Gnome...
That's even more mysterious...
