Ok, i updated to Karmic as soon as it came out and i think that was a mistake right now. As soon as i updated i lost my sound and have been without it since. I have searched the forums and tried everything i could find but nothing would work. Now i have a dual boot on my computer with Karmic and windows. I was wondering if there was any way to go reinstall jaunty without having to re partition my hard drive and all that stuff again?

Not that I am aware of, if there was, it would probably be easier just to delete karmic and reinstall it. Besides, its suggested to do a clean install of karmic.

If you have the jaunty install disk, you can do a clean install to the partition you have karmic on. when you get to partition part of install just use custom partition option. Select partition Karmic is on format it and your good to go.
