Hi blewatt.

My buddy just bought an HP G60-530CA.

She asked me to do a dual boot setup for her, and it works very nicely.

The biggest thing to look at, is the graphics. Avoid ATI, and choose Nvidia or intel graphics.

i second the nvidia/intel vote for the video card, but you may want to check out dell too. they tend to have some pretty sweet deals.

i got an acer 5542g for 33,000 INR approx 640 USD
config
3 gb ram
amd turion 2.2 ghz
512 MB ATI Card 4570 i think
320 gb hard disk
fingerprint scanner
webcam
dolby speakers

i'm lovin it

and the best part is that it did'nt have windows preloaded
