hi...

i've been using Jaunty in my compaq presario ever since it was launched!!!

before that i was using Vista Home Basic which came along with my system... While using Vista, i used to get a battery backup of about 2hrs, normal use...

but ever since i moved to Jaunty, i get a max of 1hr backup!!!

can anything be done on this matter... any kind of patches or kernel change can help me get a little more battery usage???

its a pity that i cant even watch a full 1.30hrs movie at a stretch!!! which i used to do before....

this low battery backup is the only problem i have with my jaunty... otherwise i'd rate it 10/10!!! also no competitors!!!

Quick question... how old is your computer and its battery?

ha ha ha...

well... my v3702au is a year old... so as its battery...

but the point to be noted is that this drastic reduction in battery backup was found when i moved to Jaunty... at first, due to my intense love for Jaunty i didnt mind it... now that i'm getting used to it, i want more, so... was wondering why ubuntu doesnt have good battery performance...
