Hi,
Recently I've upgraded my Ubuntu Server to 9.10 and the OK's and Failed's are now gone completely. I've tried browsing through google and this forum to no luck. Also took a look at /lib/lsb/init-functions and even change it back to the one I had on jaunty, but I only get to see those msg's when I'm already logged in and restarting a service or something. Is there any way I could get them back on boot? What has changed since jaunty that these are gone? Also quiet boot seems more quiet than usual, does this have anything to do with the pae kernel?

Are you having a problem with services not starting? I run my server headless, so I never see any messages.

Actually I like to experiment with my Ubuntu server from time to time, that's why I liked those green and red messages. I'm almost postivie that I had them on boot with 9.04 and I'm certain that I had them with 8.10.
