Hi, I have Ubuntu 9.10 installed it is the only OS on this machine, fresh install today, I was dual booting with Vista while getting a feel for Ubuntu. I now want to install Virtualbox and teach myself how to use it. My question for people who have been using Virtualbox successfully is which one should I install the one from the package manager or get the newer version directly from Sun systems. I have been researching this and have read the community documentation but would like to see what experienced users are using.

I prefer the one from virtualbox.org
Reasons because of more feature support.

I too chose to download the .deb file directly from Sun rather than use the one in the repositories. Sun offers two versions of VirtualBox, the regular version and the OSE version. The regular version is closed source but available free of charge. The OSE version is open source. The regular version offers more features such as usb support.
