Hello

I am looking an answer, how can I convert a large library of .rec files to the form, which is compatible to my DVD player.

So far, I tested project x and even it is great software, it does not fit in this purpose mainly for the subtext problems. I had an solution in my previous Gutsy -version, and according to my short memory I used ffmpeg command.

I also found a link http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=408506 and it says nothing to me.

Do you have any ideas how to solve this problem, please?
Thanks in advance,

What exactly is your goal? Toppy REC files' subtitles are not the same as DVD subtitles. Some scripts (aimed at Windows users but informative for any OS) can be found here (http://www.soniclife.byethost7.com/_sgg/f10000.htm).

did you realize that you can see the .rec files straight-away?

I have some problems with VLC, but MoviePlayer and Mplayer work fine.

I have built an Ubuntu storage server for my .rec and see them from a network client.

If you have a HDMI link to your tv, you can watch them on tv.

In the end, this is the easiest and quickest way to enjoy your recordings.

I have given up burning DVD ever since.

In case you need it, look for Guppy to download your .rec files from Toppy to Ubuntu.

Well, my plan is not get connection between computer and tv, VLC shows those files perfectly. The final aim is to get conversation toppy files to divx format so I can play those files on my DVD by USB stick.

Actually my ffmpeg is not able to manage .rec -files, but it can show the information included in .rec -files.
