So in a fit of rage I wiped vista off my lap top with gparted. I am now somewhat regretting that decision, if for no other reason then I may need windows for work. Does windows 7 run smoothly on virtual box? Or should i jest get a external and run it off of that. I'd prefer a virtual solution so I didn't have to buy the extra hard ware. I run a toshiba, with a AMD duel core RM-70 and 4 gigs of ram

Thanks for any help in advance
P.S.
I have never been so happy with working my computer as I have been the last few weeks. Ubutntu teaches me in ways that truly define a symbiotic relationship. I have learned touch typing from KTOUCH, graphic design from inkscape and blender, and Evolutio has got my hectic stresful life under control way better then Ical. I own a PPC Mac, running 10.5.9, and I tried the 7 release candidate, Ubuntu is miles ahead of both, MILES!!!!!

same here...

There are some things I need Windows for... Only for work... Obviously...

Thus, I got VirtualBox and installed XP on it (1700Mb RAM, one processor) and although it might sound strange, Windows actually runs much better (I mean I have much less trouble) in my virtual machine.

I guess you can install Win7 the same way and should not encounter any trouble...

windows 7 or xp should run fine in a virtual machine

you dont need to buy extra hardware. you can also use gparted to shrink your linux partition and create a new partition to dual boot as another option.

Hi Alex,

everything runs fine... including Flash...
It really is very "smooth"

By the way, I did install the non-OSE version because I need the USB-support

Hi Alex,

I am sorry, but this has nothing to do with Vbox...
However, try to load the webradio directly in RythmBox...
I've found that works really well...
